Lets Talk About : Rwanda

Hi there.
Have you ever heard of Rwandan art?
Huh?
No?
Well here's a picture:

It was brought to me by my dad's good friend Dmitry Bondarenko; aka, Russia's number one African art researchers. It looks really modern, but its actually kind of old. These geometric designs are indigenous to Rwanda, called imigongo. A prince started making them to decorate his house in the 18th century, and now they sell them to tourists and display them everywhere like around the city of Kigali. I think they're pretty cool; it looks nice above my piano. Its made from cow dung. And banana ashes. I still like it!
